The Loop Corkmix Material
Loop Corkmix is a special blend of cork powder and different flexible resins that we have developed after a year of trial and error. We manufacture it with a textured finish for better grip when sweat and sunscreen are factors, so it may feel rough at first. It is very simple to take some fine sandpaper and flatten the texture a bit, but after some limited use the material will naturally "relax" on its own and actually form to a certain constant grip. It is more durable than ordinary cork and provides much better contact with the fly rod.
